How close are you to your goals? How far do you still have to go? Are you racing towards them on the 1st and 2nd? And if so, are you skipping important steps like stretching first and warming down afterwards? Or does it feel like you're moving at something more closely resembling a crawl? And still skipping steps, along the way? Take stock as the month starts. The more you know about where you're at, the better you'll do at correcting habits that need to be corrected. Head for the pool on the 7th and 8th! That's right: There are only so many outdoor swimming days left this year. And you want to take advantage of them! Don't push yourself until you don't have any reserves left, physically, emotionally or financially on the 13th and 14th. Staying healthy sometimes means conserving energy. Play as hard as you work on the 18th or 19th. Take your time learning a new workout move on the 24th, and it will click into place by the 28th. Talk is cheap -- and it's healthy on the 30th.
