You feel like you're being pulled in two different directions on the 1st. On the one hand, you want to do a set of sprints. On the other hand, your new personal trainer is telling you that you need to slow down and work on endurance. If you know what's good for you, you'll probably listen to your trainer. But it's important that your desires are gratified, too, when you workout. So when you're done working on endurance, go ahead and do those sprints. By the 5th and 6th, you're ready to organize things a little bit differently. Maybe you don't feel like you need a personal trainer anymore. Maybe you decide that, when it comes to how much and what kind of training you should be doing, your marathon training teammates are the best arbiters. On the 10th, spend as much time stretching as you need. By the 15th, you're ready to play ball with the team. On the 20th and 21st, your good energy makes for a great workout. If you feel restless on the 25th and 26th, get outside and get moving! All
